Hilda Amelia Lauf, 94, of Jefferson City, died Monday, May 13, 2013, at Adams Street Place.
She was born on June 5, 1918, in Wardsville, the daughter of the late Joseph Anton and Cora (Fisher) Wachter.
She was united in marriage on June 8, 1937, in Wardsville to Walter Bernard Lauf who preceded her in death on April 3, 1998.
She attended the old Central School on Tanner Bridge Road in the Wardsville/Honey Creek area and worked at the Tweedy Box Factory until it closed. She then worked for the Jefferson City Public School's until she retired.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she helped with funeral luncheons. She also was a member of St. Ann's Sodality and St. Mary's Health Center Auxiliary.
Hilda enjoyed reading, quilting, and embroidery.
Survivors include: two daughters, Shirley Rhodes Boessen, Jefferson City; Marjorie Ortmeyer Meek, St. Clair; five grandchildren, Marian Baker, Michael (Michell) Ortmeyer, Mark (Lorie) Ortmeyer, Tracy (David) Suggett, Travis Boessen (fiance Nicole Marianovitch); nine great-grandchildren, Shelby Suggett, Dustin Suggett, Patrick Baker, Miranda Ortmeyer, Megan Ortmeyer, Kyle Ortmeyer, Jeremy Ortmeyer, Amber Ortmeyer; one sister, Helen Siebeneck, Jefferson City; and many nieces and nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Floyd "Bud" (Kitty) Wachter; a sister, Margaret Hammond; a sister-in-law, Helen Samson; and three brothers-in-law, Arthur Samson, Archie Siebeneck, and Leonard Hammond.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Colin Franklin officiating.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Masses or a charity of the donor's choice.

My prayers are with you. I can honestly say that I know how you are feeling. Aunt Hilda was a neat little lady, Mom and Aunt Hilda and Aunt Margie had some good times.
