Jake said that his favorite work in journalism was during his time at UPI. Other memorable moments in Jake's life included seeing Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1952 while on leave from the Army; great world leaders, such as Winston Churchill and India's Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, were in attendance at the coronation.
