We just found out this evening, and sweet Brendan hugged me and said, “He was such a good man.” Truer words cannot be spoken. I have to smile, however, as I know Erwin was waiting for him…..hunting gear in tow, grinning in welcome. I love you all and am keeping you close to my heart in thoughts and prayers. ❤

  20. Sue. Lisa. Kelly So sorry. As you know I grew up across the street from Jerry. We played, hunted, and I have many wonderful memories of all of our time with him. Love to you all.

  21. Jerry was the greatest. I always enjoyed being around him and talking to him. Had some great times hunting with with all the guys.

  22. Sue, Lisa, Kelly, Sloane, Chris…… Jerry had a great and long life and always seemed cheerful, enthusiastic, and hard working. Let us celibrate that. The first time I met Jerry I was about 8 years old and he had come down to the farm looking for old rolls of woven wire for reinforcement in concrete pads he was pouring. Years later there was great fun with his dove hunting posse of businessmen, judges, and highway patrol….. One of the last times I met him in his element, Jerry, Mike H, Kelly, and Chris stopped by when they were out checking goose hunting prospects! It was always an honor to have him around hunting as well as being a friend.

  23. Sue, Lisa and Kelly, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

  24. Sue, Lisa and Kelly. Our condolences in your loss of Jerry. He was a joy to know, and will be missed by many.

  25. Dear Sue, Kelly and Lisa – so saddened to hear of your loss. I did not know Jerry that well but know his family that loved him and you were always there for him – which is a wonderful blessing for the family at this time. The videos showed a life spent with family and friends enjoying all the days that God gave him here on earth. May God’s love surround you and may all those good memories be with you at this time. Sending love and sympathy to the family. Corinna Harton

  26. Sue, Kelly, and Lisa — How wonderful it was to share in your photo/video memories of Jerry through the years.I am grateful to God for his life and love as a gift to each of you and other family members and friends. There is no book on grief that underscores the feelings that it brings with it. But as I struggle to deal with the loss of my husband in November 2015, I know that life has given me blessings along the way and its also thrown me curve balls of grief to deal with as well. I pray that God will bring healing as you need it and that the support of family remains a constant blessing.

  27. So sorry for your loss. We moved into Winterwood Estates about 2 yrs ago & Jerry made us feel very much at home. He always would wave if I was out in the yard working. Once again we are very sorry for your loss.

  28. Sue, Kelly and Lisa, so sorry we were unable services for Jerry. Norman and the Steppelman family have a long time relationship. Such good memories he will be so missed in our lives, I’m sure you know what a great guy he was, which made him a very good friend.

  29. Prayers for comfort! May the wonderful memories of your father Jerry stay forever in your hearts with a smile. God bless!
