Joan Marie Blood , 51, of Holts Summit, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital. She was born February 13, 1965, in Denver, Colorado, the youngest of six children to the late Francis George and Marie (Dodson) Blood. Joan received her Bachelors degree in Accounting from the University of Missouri. Joan worked as an accountant for 20 years most recently with Jackson Hewitt Tax Service. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Holts Summit. Joan enjoyed music, taking photos, being in the outdoors especially with her family while camping. Her greatest passion was her children and her granddaughter. Survivors include her three children, Mariya (Michael) Conti, Virginia; Nathan (Natasha) Baughn, Silverdale, Washington; Mikayla Plumlee, Holts Summit; and her granddaughter. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016, at St. Andrew Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph S. Corel officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Andrew Catholic Church, 400 St. Andrew Drive, Holts Summit, MO 65043.
