  1. Sending prayers to the Bode family during this time of sorrow and pain!! May God wrap his arms around you all and hold you tightly!!!

  2. All the most loving thoughts and prayers to Jonathon’s family.

Jonathon was a friend and coworker of mine here in Denver. My time with Jon was rewarding and I truly enjoyed his company. We were becoming better friends once we started talking at work and working together, and I enjoyed his intelligence. He was such a caring guy, and I noticed this more and more. He was on my to-call list this month as I have not seen him in a few. My career took me to my own business late last year, and Jon and I had planned to work together some. I was looking forward to this. He was such a smart guy that I even envied him at times. He will be missed, and I am so sad to hear of this news this morning. He deserved the best and I always treated him as though he was a life-long friend. I am sorry to miss his memorial in MO as I am unable to make it with time constraints.

Rest well, Jon. I will think of you often through GIS and wonder how you could have helped me, :).

  4. This is very sad news and I offer my condolences to his family. Jon was a great guy. Rest in Peace buddy.

  5. Wishing my sincerest condolences to the Bode family in this time of mourning. I got to know Jon from working with him here in Denver. He became a beloved friend and colleague of mine, as I began to know him working together. Rest easy my friend, your kind demeanor and energy will not be forgotten here in Denver.

  6. My sincere and deepest condolences to Jonathan’s mother, Ms. Eleanor, and his family members. I want to thank Tammy for calling me to inform me about Jonathan.

I met Jonathan at Northwest Missouri State University at the hallway of Franken Hall 4th floor in August 1992. We had been friends since then and we had promised each other that we would remain friends forever. As years went by, the distance between us increased due to my move to Northern Virginia. But we always kept in contact via emails or text messages and exchanged greetings during holidays. Jonathan was a very kind and humble person. He was generous enough to give me a ride to Springfield, MO for my GMAT exam from his Kansas City apartment (in 1997). When we were students, he enthusiastically gave me rides in his Volvo to the grocery stores or fast food places whenever I requested, even in the middle of the night. He was a very caring and thoughtful friend and I felt that I could always rely on him. Jonathan visited me in Virginia in 2009.

Jonathan: thank you for your friendship and all the happy memories. I will cherish them for rest of my life. I am heartbroken to know that you passed away so soon. Rest in peace my friend.

  8. I worked with Jonathan for about three years, here in Columbia. He was such a kind person, was always helpful, and was great at what he did, (GIS). I have missed seeing him over the last few years and miss him even more. I was shocked to see his passing. Anyone who knew Jonathan and especially worked with him, knew of his dedication and love of his career in GIS. He helped me so many times on my computer job. Every morning going into work, there he was, that great guy to know as a co-worker and a friend. I am sorry for your loss and pray that God will hold you in His loving arms during this time of loss.
