Hi Fr. Don and familyWe are so sorry to hear that your dad passed away. Sorry I didn’t make it to the visitation, but I didn’t hear about it until Monday. He is in a much better place and is with your mom now. You and your family are in our thougths and prayers. Ernie and Debbie (Mueller) Klindt.
Our sincere sympathies on the death of your father. We cherish his friendship with our mother. May he rest in peace, Bill and Nancy Keel
People come and go in our lives and we realize how the Lord blesses us with these people who are such an inspiration in just being who they are. Since the time your Dad began to live at Heisinger and St. Joseph’s, he has been so inspiring to me as I got to know him. He was a true man about his faith and family, and a good game of Pitch 🙂 Joe’s interest always seemed to be on others, not on himself. If he ever said anything that even so slightly resembled a complaint, he would always add, “It could be worse”, then smile and shift the conversation to someone else. It was so enjoyable to see and hear Joe reminisce with Ruth Keel about their younger days and their shared experiences of life on the farm. They both often recalled fond memories of Joe’s friendship with Ruth’s oldest brother, David.Ruth will miss visiting with Joe each week, and so will I. It was my pleasure to know your Dad.
