Julia Ann Gilmore, 78, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, February 7, 2013, at St. Mary's Health Center. She was born on February 11, 1934, in Cameron, Mo., the daughter of the late Julius Frederick and Margaret Ann Runyon Kresse. She was married on February 16, 1958, in Columbia to Albert Ray Gilmore, Sr., who preceded her in death on July 7, 2001. A graduate of Hallsville High School, she attended business college in Columbia. She was employed for several years with Westlake Ace Hardware store in Jefferson City. Mrs. Gilmore was a member of New Life Ministries in Jefferson City, and had previously attended Calvary Baptist Church in Columbia and Concord Baptist Church, Jefferson City. She greatly enjoyed quilting, but most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include four children, Albert, Jr. (DiAnn) Gilmore, Russellville, Mo.; Gwendolyn "G.G." Gilmore, Jefferson City; Harry (Lynn) Gilmore, New Bloomfield, Mo.; and David Gilmore, Jefferson City; five grandchildren, Caleb, Micayla, Brook, Erica, and Lydia Gilmore; and two brothers, Odas Kresse, Squires, Mo.; and Austin (Barb) Kresse, Grain Valley, Mo. She was preceded in death by twin brothers, Robert and Roy Kresse; and one sister, Violet Fountain. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Columbia, Mo. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Monday, February 11th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
