  1. To my dear friend and colleague, Colleen, we are very saddened by the news of Jay’s death. May the God of all comfort abide with you and the family during your time of bereavement. God loves you and we do too. Reg & Brenda Woods, Watkinsville, GA.

  2. Colleen, prayers for you here from us as well as my parents. Jay was a friend of diverse interests, good humor and remarkable intellect – my opponent in my first jury trial who became a fellow prosecutor, later my landlord and then my partner. I am stunned and saddened by his departure…too, too soon. Bob Hawkins, Nashville.

So sorry for your loss. Don’t know if you remember me Lee Thrash, Robert (Bob) Thrash was my husband and a friend of Jay’s in high school. The last high school reunion we attended Bob and I visited with you and Jay. Bob was very touched by Jay’s emails and phone call when Bob was so very ill. We both appreciated that contact at a time when it was much needed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
