Kathleen Wava "Kathy" Pingel, 64, of Jefferson City, passed away, Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at her residence. She was born March 15, 1952, in Spencer, Iowa, the daughter of the late Darrell and Kathleen (Thayer) Bailey. She was united in marriage on April 3, 1971, in Aurelia, Iowa to Lorrell Leonard Pingel who preceded her in death on December 4, 2015. Kathy worked for Unilever as an operator for over 30 years. After retirement, Kathy and her husband, Lorrell volunteered for the Missouri State Parks as hosts and hostesses at various parks including Bennett Springs. She spent many hours knitting, quilting, and making crafts. She was a former member of Faith Lutheran Church. Survivors include her brother, Bruce (Brenda) Bailey, Florissant, MO; brother-in-law, Carroll (Lois) Pingel, St. Charles, MO; sister-in-law, Lila (Don) Beck, Fort Dodge, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lorrell; and her brother, Dale Bailey. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Alter officiating. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial gardens.   1. Brenda….although I can\’t be there to say good by to Kathy my thoughts and prayers are with you. It is now most apparent that Lorrell and Kathy were meant to be together. I miss them both. We certainly had many laughs together over the years. I will see them in the future but for the present, please know that we are thinking of you and the family.

  3. I am saddened of the news of Kathy passing. Talked to her 2 weeks prior and she was doing quite well. Now she is with Lorrell and I`m thinking it was meant to be. I`m sure glad she didn`t suffer and just went to sleep. RIP, Kathy & Lorrell
