Laura Dale Slote, 47, of Wardsville, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026.

She was born on October 2, 1978, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Larry Dale and Bertha Margaret (Baumann) Bias.

Laura was a 1997 graduate of Helias Catholic High School, later earning her bachelor’s degree from Columbia College.

She was united in marriage on June 9, 2006, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Wardsville, to Michael Slote, who survives of the home.

Laura was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

She liked to garden, read and sing to her kids, cook, help people, do puzzle books and especially loved her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Michael; her mother, Bertha; five children; Emily Bias (Alexander Rhodes), Faith Slote, Grace Slote, Hope Slote and Larkin Slote; two grandchildren; Alexis and Levi Rhodes; two sisters; Danette Patton and Lisa (Daniel) Branch.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Dale Bias; two sons; Stephen Rohlfing and Joseph Dale Slote.

Visitation will be 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City with a prayer service 2 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2026, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. David D. Cox, officiating.

Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.

Memorials are suggested to the family to help pay for funeral expenses or to the charity of the donor’s choice.

  3. We knew Laura when she was younger and would come visit to hang out with my kids. We attended her high school graduation party too and truly enjoyed her friendship and kindness.
