Laurine Mary Kliethermes Heet, 87, went to be with God on Saturday morning, July 29, 2017 with her loving husband holding her hand and her family surrounding her. She was born on September 14, 1929, in Cadet Creek, the daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Dudenhoeffer) Kliethermes. Laurine was united in marriage on January 28, 1950 at St. Peter's Cathedral in Jefferson City to Bernard Heet, the man she declared after meeting, "I am going to marry him someday." In addition to being a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt, Laurine was a beloved babysitter, unbelievable photographer, and loved keeping God's House clean for 24 years at St. Francis Xavier Church in Taos, along with her home and many privileged others. Laurine was also known for her incredible talent in the kitchen, especially her famous cherry pies, homemade bread, and chicken and dumplings. She loved her faith and rosary, country music, listening to and watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and dancing with her partner, Bernard, of 67 years. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, six children, Dinah & Roger Hagner, Daryl & Mary Heet, Dan & Dawn Heet, Doris Cadd, Dave & Dana Heet, and Denise Heet; nine grandchildren, Laura (Hagner) & Bill Voss, Ryan & Jennifer Hagner, Joe & Katie Heet, Kevin & Tonya Hagner, Jeff & Cheryl Heet, Tabatha (Heet) & Justin Krieger, Emma Cadd, Lindsey Heet, and Sarah Cadd; ten great-grandchildren, Jacob, Shelby & Drew Voss, Zach, Jake, Avery, Derek & Jace Hagner, Everleigh & Ava Krieger; four siblings, Harry (Bernice) Kliethermes, Edgar (Marlene) Kliethermes, Alvina Jaegers and Dorothy (Walter) Thessen; sisters-in-laws, Irene Kliethermes and Lorene Heet and brothers-in-law Frank Heet and Vincent Prenger and many cousins, family and friends. She was preceded by her daughter, Kathy; brothers, Clifford Kliethermes, Oscar and his wife Eva Maggie Kliethermes; sisters, Elsie (Urban) LeCuru, and Shirley Prenger; and in-laws, Leslie Jaegers, Roy and Irene Heet Cavender, Charlie and Alma Heet, Harold Heet, Donnie and Lola Heet, Rudy Heet, and Jean Heet. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, August 1st at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos with a prayer service at 3 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 2nd, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos with the Rev. 11. Denise…my very special friend…I was on annual leave when word of your Mother’s passing and transition occurred. I was notified by Crystal Aholt that your Mother had died, and she thought I would want to know. And, I did. While I was unable to attend, or be physically present, I was with you as always in Spirit. I know you, and this death likely came as no surprise, but certainly not without loving care, attention, and many fond memories flooding across your mind. Be well and take comfort knowing you are loved and supported by many in your circle of Family, Friends, and Colleagues.

As ever, my dear Friend, “Cheez-It”
