Linda Elaine Butler Thomas, 70, of Jefferson City, died Friday, August 14, 2015, at her residence. She was born June 14, 1945, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Paul Robert and Nola Viola Zeilman Butler. She was married on October 8, 1961, in Jefferson City to James Delbert Thomas who preceded her in death on July 5, 2013. A 1963 graduate of Jefferson City High School, Mrs. Thomas retired in 2000 as a Line Attendant with Unilever where she had been employed for twenty-nine years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and Clarke Senior Center. Survivors include two daughters, Melinda (Jim) Matteson and Reba Hodge, both of Jefferson City; two grandsons, Danny Matteson, Columbia, and Tommy Matteson, Jefferson City; and her beloved dog, Susie. She was preceded in death by one brother, Larry P. Butler. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Thursday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Clarke Senior Center, 1310 Linden Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109.   3. Unbelievable to hear of your Mother’s passing. She had attended Tappy’s visitation service in May of this year. Ever the faithful is the best way to describe your Mother. I remember when Tap and I were able to attend their 50th. She loved your Dad until the day he passed and beyond. You children and then the grandchildren brought her so much joy! You all have my deepest sympathy. God bless you Sister in Christ, Linda Elaine Butler Thomas. God speed to that special place in heaven.
