Lucille T. Norvell Rutherford, 95, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015, at Villa Marie Nursing Home. Lucille formerly resided in Eolia and Bowling Green, Missouri. She was born November 16, 1919, in Pike County, Missouri the daughter of the late Samuel Edward and Ida Alice (Lederman) Trower. Lucille was a graduate and Valedictorian of the Class of 1937 from Bowling Green High School. She was united in marriage to Robert Glenn Norvell in November of 1940 who preceded her in death in July of 1974. She later married Elbyrt "Bud" Rutherford in December of 1975 who preceded her in death in January of 1981. Lucille worked for many years for Pike County in the Circuit Clerk's office. She retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 1975. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bowling Green. She enjoyed traveling and had visited every state in the United States and various locations in Canada and Mexico. Survivors include: six nieces and nephews: Raymond (Jackie) Allen, Jefferson City; Darrell (Donna) Grote, Bowling Green; Robert (Marie) Allen, Mexico; Donna (Gene) Lewis, Curryville; Janice (Glen) Walker, Mexico; and Marilyn Hutcherson, Jefferson City. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; one brother, Glen Trower; and two sisters, Mildred Grote and E. Roselle Allen. A private family burial will be held at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Lincoln County, Missouri. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
