Marcella Ann “Marcie” Reinkemeyer, 80, of Jefferson City, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 13, 2020, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City.

Marcie was born on July 9, 1939, in Koeltztown, Missouri, the daughter of the late Alfred and Agnes (Schmitz) Bax.

On October 24, 1964, Marcie was united in marriage at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Koeltztown to Marvin Reinkemeyer, who survives of the home.

Marcie liked to stay busy and active, and worked her entire adult life. Marcie worked for International Shoe Company, McGraw Edison, Shopsmith, the Missouri Secretary of State, Dillard’s and the Missouri Department of Revenue.

Marcie was a devout Christian person and was an active member of St. Martin Catholic Church.

Marcie will be remembered for her forgiving and sacrificial virtues; she always put others before herself. She will also be remembered for her delicious fried chicken and chicken gravy, her famous “Grandma potatoes”, her oatmeal cookies, and her summer BBQ’s when her grandchildren were young. Marcie loved quilting, Cardinal baseball, baking pies and Peony flowers.

In addition to her husband of 55 years, Marcie is survived by a brother, Arnold (Ann) Bax of Vienna, and three children: Bruce (Chris) Reinkemeyer of McGirk, Brian Reinkemeyer of Jefferson City, and Brenda Johnson of the home. In addition, Marcie is survived by three grandchildren, Seth Reinkemeyer of Jefferson City, Sarabeth (Nathan) Goans of New Bloomfield, and Jacob Johnson of Jefferson City. A great-granddaughter is due in July of 2020.

Due to the CoVid-19 pandemic, a private visitation for family members only will be held. Mass of Christian Burial will follow for family members only at St. Martin Catholic Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Martin Education Foundation.
