Marjorie Anna Loesch, 81, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by her family.

She was born November 1, 1943, in Moniteau County, Missouri, the daughter of Elmer and Beuhla (Dampf) Leithauser.

She started school at Harmony one-room schoolhouse near Corticelli and later attended High Point School.  In 1961, she graduated from Russellville High School.

Marjorie was united in marriage on July 2, 1966, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in California, Missouri to Melvin C. Loesch who survives at the home.

Marjorie worked for the Missouri Highway Department for nine years.  After spending several years at home with her children, she later worked for Farmers Bank of Lohman as a teller for over 29 years.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church (Stringtown/Lohman) and was a 4-H Project Leader while her children participated.  Marjorie enjoyed many hobbies including vegetable and flower gardening, canning, feeding and watching hummingbirds, crappie fishing, collecting stamps, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and game shows, and was an avid fan of Carl Edwards Racing.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin Loesch, Russellville; two children, Michele (Doug) Brautigam, Russellville; Mike (Janice) Loesch, Russellville; four grandchildren, MacKenzie Loesch, Melanie Loesch, Therasia Brautigam, Nathan (Hanna) Brautigam; one great grandson, Auggie Brautigam; and a sister-in-law, Judy Leithauser, Russellville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Glen Leithauser and Wayne Leithauser.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Russellville.

Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. John’s Lutheran Church (Stringtown/Lohman) with Pastor Brian Whittle officiating.

Burial will follow at Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to Enloe Cemetery.
