Martha Marie Toebben, 93, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016, at St. Joseph Bluffs. She was born September 29, 1922, in Linn, Missouri the daughter of the late Herman and Catherine (Nilges) Maasen. She was united in marriage on August 11, 1945, in Jefferson City, to Wilfred Bernard "Toby" Toebben who preceded her in death on February 11, 2013. Martha spent most of her time as a homemaker and worked as a school bus driver from 1971-1984. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Altar Sodality. Martha enjoyed sewing and embroidering especially making Christmas stockings for her family., playing word find puzzles. Survivors include: two children, Ruth (Arthur) Bock, Westphalia; Janice (Kevin) Schmitz, St. Charles; a son-in-law and his wife, Glenn (Kathy) Bish, Jefferson City; six grandchildren, Sandra Bock; Randall (Nora) Bock; Jason (Kelly) Bish; Jonathan (Sara) Bish; Jacob Schmitz; Jackson Schmitz; 8 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leo (Angeline) Maasen, Jefferson City. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Bish; two sons, Richard Toebben and James Toebben; five sisters, Mary Schlueter, Anna Rackers, Agnes Knott, Teresa Slicker, Lena Thrash; and two brothers, George Maasen and William Maasen Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at St. Peter Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to Hospice Compassus, 600 Monroe Street, Suite 100, Jefferson City, MO 65101; or to St. Peter Cemetery Fund, 3015 West Truman Blvd., Jefferson City, MO 65109.
