Mary Josephine Elizabeth Chouinard, 67, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO.
She was born October 6, 1947, in Yankton, South Dakota, the daughter of the late Franklin Francis and Hattie Helen (Varilek) Chladek.
She was united in marriage on September 30, 1967, in Alameda, California to John Joseph Chouinard who survives at the home.
Mary worked for over 37 years with the federal government specializing in H.R. She most recently worked for the Missouri National Guard retiring in 2011.
She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church.
Mary enjoyed going to garage sales, gardening, canning produce, reading, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband John, she is survived by three children, John (Tracy) Chouinard, Jr., Jefferson City; James Chouinard, Jefferson City; Jolene (Brian) Mushrush, Holts Summit; seven grandchildren, Devin Chouinard, Kelsey Chouinard, Ayden Chouinard, Jace Chouinard, Cash Chouinard, Jordan Mushrush, Colby Mushrush; and five siblings, Carol Ann (Bob) Hancock, Vacaville, CA; Jim (Mary) Chladek, Volin, SD; Kathie (Hal) Greer, Detroit, Mich; Helen Marie Moody, American Canyon, CA; and Roberta (Verd) McKean, San Jose, CA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2015, at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martins with the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating.
Burial will be in St Martin Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2:30-6 p.m. Sunday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 2 p.m.

So sorry for your loss. She was one of the nicest and sweetest ladies I knew growing up in St. Martin’s. The Lord called her home, so you know that she is happy and at peace. May God bless you and your entire family.
