Mary Kathryn Kirkweg, 78, of Centertown, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born September 17, 1943, in High Point, Missouri, the daughter of the late Earl Stanley and Edna Pearl (Ackers) Rannabargar.

She was united in marriage on July 9, 1960, at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martins to Alfred William Kirkweg who survives at the home.

Mary worked for the State of Missouri in the Department of Budget and Finance working with payroll, retiring after 36 years of service.

She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church.

Before her mother Pearl died, Mary was her faithful and loving caregiver. She enjoyed drinking Pepsi, doing crossword puzzles, watching T.V., and going on camping trips around the U.S. She loved music especially playing the piano in her husband’s band and going to Blue Grass Festivals. Mary loved her family and all her friends she made through her work.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-one years, Alfred Kirkweg, Centertown; three children, William Joseph (Janet) Kirkweg, Jefferson City; Donna Ann (Ron) Rehagen, Freeburg; and Lisa Beth Kirkweg (Dwayne McKinney), Holts Summit; a son-in-law, Mark McBaine, Jefferson City; 12 grandchildren, Bradley Cassmeyer, Dean McBaine, Nicole McBaine, Christopher Kirkweg (fiancé Amy Ferguson), Lindsey Kirkweg, Bryan Kirkweg, Rachel (A.J) Holmes, Taylor Otto, Abigail Rehagen, Zoe Rehagen, Zeb McKinney and Will McKinney; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Rannabargar, Kansas City; and a brother-in-law, Cecil Knernschield, Russellville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Alice McBaine; two brothers, Jim Rannabargar, and Darrell “Bo” (Glenda) Rannabargar; three sisters, Margarite (John) Watts, Gloria (Kemp) Miller, and Jackie (H.D. Tambke) Knernschield.

Visitation will be 4:00-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Jason Doke officiating.

Burial will be in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to St. Martin Catholic Church.
