Mary Lucille Keeney, 78, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, December 10, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 22, 1933, in Bonnville, Missouri, the daughter of the late Johnny Lee and Sarah Alice Twitchell Thomas.
She was united in marriage on January 2, 1954, at Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church in Boonville, to Edwin Andrew Keeney who preceded her in death on November 13,2000.
A homemaker, Mary Lou was a member of Capital City Christian Church in Jefferson City and a former member of Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church in Boonville. Mary Lou enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Survivors include: three children, Gayle (Preston) Stogsdill, Ashland; Denise (JD) White, Jefferson City; Doug Keeney (his girlfriend Regina Thompson), Jefferson City; three grandchildren, Justin (Melissa) White, Eric Keeney, Mallory Keeney; one great-grandson, Brett Keeney; and three siblings, LeAnn (Gene) Huff, Versailles; Mildred (Norman) Hammons, Fayette; and Billie Schwartz, Holts Summit.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Boonville.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 2413 Hyde Park Road, Jefferson City, Mo 65109.
