Mary "Lisa" Elizabeth Moore, 94, of Heinsinger Bluff's Jefferson City, died Monday January 5, 2015, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born November 15, 1920, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of the late Harry Thomas and Nellie Hazel (Mitts) Black. Lisa was a graduate of East High School in Wichita, Kansas, attended Friends University, and graduated from Business College in 1939. She was united in marriage on February 16, 1941, in Wichita, Kansas to James Logan Moore who preceded her in death on October 6, 1987. Lisa owned and operated with her husband the Riverside Drug Sundries in Wichita from 1946-1959, and a marina at The Lake of the Ozarks. Later, she worked as an administrative assistant for sixteen years with the Missouri Division of Employment Security, retiring in 1991. She was a member of First United Methodist Church; Harmony Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church; life member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority where she held all officer positions; a charter member of Creative Writer's Society; Learning in Retirement and served on their travel committee; River Bluffs Audubon; Historical City of Jefferson; Heisinger Bluffs Auxiliary; and the Jefferson City Chapter of the AARP. One of Lisa's enjoyments in life was to travel. Survivors include: one son, Barry James Moore and his wife, Joey Noel, Edinburg, TX; and one daughter, Dana Lynn Opie and her partner, Allen Templeton, Jefferson City; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister, Paula H. Jukes; and an infant sister, Bernetta Mae Black. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a Beta Sigma Phi Memorial Ritual at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, 915 Country Ridge Drive, Jefferson City, Mo 65109; or to the First United Methodist Church, 201 Monroe, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
