Mildred Gertrude Grieshammer, 93, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017, at her residence. She was born October 1, 1924, in California, Missouri, the daughter of the late Jacob John and Mary (Strickfaden) Weingartner. She was a 1942 graduate of California High School. She was united in marriage on September 4, 1948, at Annunciation Catholic Church in California, to John Joseph Grieshammer, Sr. who preceded her in death on December 27, 1990. Mildred worked for the State of Missouri, Immaculate Conception Catholic School as a cook, helped her husband with his candy route, and for most of her life was a loving and caring homemaker. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph and the Immaculata Club. She volunteered as a cub scout and girl scout leader. She enjoyed shopping, playing cards with her card club friends, and traveling with her family. Survivors include four children, John Grieshammer, Jr.; Mary (Dale) Pringer; David (Cathy) Grieshammer, Nancy Dusheke (Larry Dusheke). Survivors also include her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild: Michelle (Brad), Derrick (Jeana), Ashley (Tim), Emily (Gary), Joshua (Hope), Sara (Dillan), Wesley, Lexi (Blake), Erin, Madison (Leighton), Morgan, Gus, Vivian, Gabriel, Indiana, Lila, Kason, Addison, Claire, Mya, and Audrina. She is also survived by her siblings, Rose Weingartner, Geraldine Johnson, and Marguerite Harvey. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Mary Ann Bording; and two brothers, Curtis and Jerome Weingartner. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2017, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 2:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2017, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Joshua Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Masses in memory of Mildred. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
