Norbert Anthony Luebbert, 66, of Freeburg, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born February 13, 1959, in Jefferson City, the son of Adam Herman and Virginia Ann (Brandt) Luebbert.
He was a graduate of Fatima High School in 1977.
On November 4, 1978, in Loose Creek, he married Kristy Jean Brune. She survives at the home.
Norbert was the foreman for Skidmore Lumber Company in Freeburg before retiring in October 2023.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Norbert was an outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed woodworking and being outside in his garden. His greatest joy was being with the grandchildren and making them laugh.
Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Kristy; three children, Kimberly (Jim) Stafford, Wardsville; Amanda (Randall) Samson, Koeltztown; and Nicholas (Maggie) Luebbert, California, Missouri; six grandchildren, Dylan (Grace) Fisher, Justin Stafford, Natalie Samson, Isaac Stafford, Layne Samson, and Theodore Luebbert; one great-granddaughter, Saylor Fisher; two sisters, Irene (Robert) Stope, Linn; and Generose Brandt, Jefferson City; and one sister-in-law, Laura Luebbert.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Casper Luebbert and Ben (Ella Mae) Luebbert.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Westphalia. A prayer service will follow at the funeral home with Rev. Dylan Schrader officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or to the National Cancer Institute.
