Patricia Ann “Patty” Ott, 77, of Lohman, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born May 11, 1948, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Charles Otto and Lorna Maxine (Maize) Tripp.

Patty was a 1966 graduate of Jefferson City Senior High School.

On May 17, 1969, in Jefferson City, she was united in marriage to Palmer Ernest Ott who survives at the home. 

For twenty-five years, Patty was an Administrative Staff Assistant for the State of Missouri Department of Conservation, retiring in 2009.  In earlier years, she was a beautician at Guys and Dolls Beauty Salon in Russellville and the Charm Beauty Shop in Jefferson City.

Patty was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church (Stringtown/Lohman), St. John’s Ladies Aid, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, and the Lohman Community Building.  She also was a Vacation Bible School teacher and Sunday School teacher for twenty-five years, sang in the church choir, and was a leader with Teens Encounter Christ.

Patty enjoyed camping and summer vacations with her daughters when they were younger and later with their families.  Some of her favorite trips were with friends to Alaska, Hawaii, and Germany.  Most of her hobbies revolved around her granddaughters, teaching them to piece and sew quilting blocks, scrapbooking and cooking together.

Survivors include her husband, Palmer Ott, Lohman; two daughters, Vicki (Doug) McCommon, Pleasant Hill, MO; Amy (Troy) Schepmann, Olathe, KS; five grandchildren, Hannah McCommon, Hailey (Noah) Des Combes, Grace McCommon, Kaylana Schepmann, Layla Schepmann; and one great grandson, Waylon Des Combes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Linda Strange.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Russellville.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, at St. John’s Lutheran Church (Stringtown/Lohman) with Pastor Brian Whittle, officiating.

Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to Calvary Lutheran High School.
