Patricia LaDean Howell, 82, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born February 22, 1943, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of Carl and Wanda (Scott) Morrow.

Patricia was a 1961 graduate of Jefferson City High School.

On June 3, 1961, in Jefferson City, Patricia was united in marriage to Jerry Howell who survives.

Patricia and her husband, Jerry, owned and operated Howell’s Carpet in Jefferson City for many years.  She loved spending time with her husband, her children, and especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Howell, Jefferson City; five children, Stacie Howell, Scott Howell, Stephanie (Matt) Rimiller, Jay (Rachelle) Howell and Bradley (Blair) Howell, all of Jefferson City; fourteen grandchildren, Justin Benward, Ashlea Benward, Kelly Twyman, Rylee Karl, Baylor Rimiller, Ashtyn Rimiller, Ethan Rimiller, Lauren Howell, Hayden Howell, Harper Howell Cadyn Howell, Dylan Howell, Whitni Howell and Scott Howell, Jr.; ten great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Steve (Jean) Morrow, Bolivar; and Greg (Ila) Morrow, California, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one grandson, Keith Alan Rucker.

Private family services were held at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City with her brothers, Steve and Greg Morrow officiating.  Burial was held at Riverview Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.

  1. She was a very spirited lady and loved her grandchildren very much. I talk to her a lot at JCMG pharmacy and we would always have fun with our talks. May she rest in peace and prayers to the family.
