Patrick A. Kennedy, 71, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Lexington Square in Keokuk, Iowa. He was born March 1, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of the late Glennon A. and Margaret Mary (Duffy) Kennedy. Pat served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was united in marriage on October 24, 1981, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Becky A. Kolb who survives at the home. Pat worked for Lincoln University Police Department as a dispatcher, USDA in Kansas City as a computer operator, and for the Kansas City Power and Light. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where he participated in the prayer line and Adoration Chapel; a member of American Legion Post 5; and since 1977, he and his wife, Becky, have been involved with the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Pat enjoyed bowling, bar-b-quing, playing card games, story telling, singing, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. He is survived by his wife, Becky Kennedy, Jefferson City; his son, Jimmy Kennedy, Nashville, TN; one brother, Thomas Kennedy, Lewisville, TX; his mother-in-law, Mary Anne Kolb, Jefferson City; a sister-in-law, Rose Anne (Mike) Schmitz, Lake Ozark; a brother-in-law, Bill (Loretta) Kolb, Jefferson City; and numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Glennon A. Kennedy, Jr. and John Mike Kennedy; one sister, Mary Lou (Marvin) Taylor; and his father-in-law, Charles J. Kolb. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2017, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald Antweiler officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army, Vitae Foundation, or to the Samaritan Center.
