Ray Austin Piper, 72, of Ashland, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born March 26, 1943, in Olathe, Kansas the son of the late Ray A. and Mary Elizabeth (Frame) Piper, Jr. Ray was united in marriage in Reno, Nevada to Mary L. Reedy who survives at the home. Ray spent his working years in Hollywood as a producer and director. In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by two sons, Kyle Piper, Ashland; Brett Piper, Columbia; four grandchildren, Isaac Young, Athena Petterson, Charlotte Petterson, Gabriel Petterson; and one brother, James (Lisa) Piper, State of California. He was preceded in death by his parents. Private family services will be held. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Jefferson City is in charge of the arrangements.
