Ray Harold McGaughey, Jr., 64, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia. He was born on July 31, 1951, in Perris, California, the son of the late Ray Harold McGaughey, Sr., and Helen Lucille Ray McGaughey. He was married on April 8, 1985, in California to Margaret Ann Henderson who survives at the home. A United States Army veteran of the Vietnam Era, Mr. McGaughey was employed in factory work with Wren Associates until his retirement. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church, and greatly enjoyed fishing and World War Two documentaries. Other survivors include three children, Shannon McGaughey; James (Kay) McGaughey; and Ray McGaughey, III, all of San Bernardino, California; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joan (Dan) Mobley, Goldenvalley, Arizona. He was preceded in death by a step-son, Christopher Henderson; and a brother, James Roby McGaughey. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016, at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Dignan officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
