Raymond "Ray" Joseph Luecke, 88, of Folk, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Westphalia Hills.
He was born January 23, 1927, in Westphalia, the son of the late Henry and Rose (Schmitz) Luecke.
Ray served his country during World War II in the United States Army.
He was united in marriage on May 8, 1951, in Folk, MO to Lydia Elizabeth Stegeman who preceded him in death on April 16, 2008.
Ray owned and operated Luecke's Tire Service in Folk. Ray had also worked as a dairy farmer and as an Algoa Correctional Officer.
He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Folk, the Knights of Columbus in Westphalia, the VFW in Argyle, and the American Legion in Westphalia.
Ray enjoyed gardening, traveling, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and taking Sunday afternoon drives.
He is also survived by four sons: Kenny (Mary) Luecke, Folk; Ambrose (Carol) Luecke, Folk; Leon (Lisa) Luecke, Folk; Jerry (Mitzi) Luecke, Bland; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one sister, Gertrude Stegemann, Folk; and a sister-in-law, Betty Luecke, Westphalia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a grandson, Chadd Luecke; a sister, Clara Volmert Kempker; and a brother, Lawrence Luecke.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Westphalia with a prayer service at 1:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2015, at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Folk with the Rev. Anthony J. Viviano officiating.
Burial with military honors will be in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Mass Intentions.
