  1. Joann, my condolences. I enjoyed chatting with Richard at our class reunions. He and my family are some kind of cousins. He straightened it out for me, but I don’t remember the details. There’s nothing comforting to say. A good husband is a terrible thing to lose.

    Love, Leah O Leah

  7. Dear Joann & Family, you are a family of faith. Dick is with the Lord. Weep not but smile for him. I have known Dick for almost 40 years. He taught me more about Engineering than I wanted to learn. We spoke of Engineering, Law, Medicine, Religion, Politics, Esoteric, Mundane items & more. This town has lost the Best of the Best with his passing. He gave his knowledge, time & wealth to many! Decades before the movie “An Indecent Proposal” he told me “Even a Brick wants to be something” by Louis Kohen, google it! He built buildings using the earth to cool & heat way before others. Dick did not suffer fools well as I. If I taught him anything I was fortunate, he was always right on the beam. I have lost my best friend but shall speak highly of him till I draw my last breath. Love Greg Nosovitch etux.

  8. We were neighbors on Bald Hill Rd back in the late 40’s and 50’s. The exciting thing was that they had an elevator in their house. I think Mrs Groner was a member of the Extension Homemakers. My mother, Regina, was also a member of that club. The kids of the neighborhood got around to meet everybody. You either had a bike or you walked. The bookmobile came to the “Y” in the road and that was near the Groner’s house. I remember the big Groner Oil Co trucks too. Nice memories.

My sympathy to all the Gronrer families. May God give you peace and comfort in the coming days as you live your life without Richard. I am, Venita, one of Richard and Regina Mueller’s children. I know Richard knew my older sister, Irma, and oldest brother, Donald, both deceased.
