Robert "Bob" Dale Seifert, 81, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Capital Region Medical Center with his family around him. He was born October 21, 1933, in Boonville, MO, the son of the late George A. and Vina Lydia (Rinne) Seifert. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. In 2013 Bob had the privilege to go on the Central Missouri Honor Flight to Washington D.C. He was united in marriage on July 1, 1995, at Capital City Christian Church in Jefferson City to Carolyn M. Heidrich who survives. Bob worked as a Journeyman Sheet Metal worker with Local 36 Union. He retired February 28, 1996. Bob enjoyed photography, music, grilling, bowling, and assembling model war planes. Survivors include: his wife, Carolyn Seifert, Jefferson City; four children, Steven (Cerise) Seifert, New Bloomfield; Leigh (Bill) Beasley, Jefferson City; Lisa Bynum, Ballground, GA; Janet (Jeff) Blunt, St. Louis; five grandchildren, Jake Seifert, Abbi (Josh) Haslag, Anna Bynum, Daniel Blunt, Leslie (Grant) Hodges; and one great-grandchild, Avery Hodges. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Victor Seifert; and a son-in-law, Bruce Bynum. Graveside service with military honors will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. The family will host a gathering to celebrate Bob's life at a later time.
