Robert Wiley Bax, 65, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born on August 8, 1946, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Gilbert Albert and Helen Margaret Zey Bax.
Robert served with the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era.
Robert was a self-employed contractor and painter.
Survivors include: five siblings, Dennis Bax, Jefferson City; Susan (Joseph) Evans, Westphalia; Clifford Bax, Taos; Richard (Mary Ellen) Bax, Morrison, Il.; Gilbert (Carol Sue) Bax, Jefferson City; and many nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral Services will be 12 Noon Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Nicholas Reid, officiating.
Burial with military honors will be 3 p.m. Friday at Fort Leonard Wood State Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 Noon Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.

  1. I was saddened to hear about the passing of Bob. He was a real sweetheart. I was his letter carrier for 5 years and I always enjoyed our chats and his smile. Your family will be in my prayers. I am very sorry for your loss.
