RONALD PAUL "RONNIE" MEHMERT

ronald mehmert
Ronald Paul Ronnie Mehmert, 59, of Jefferson City, went peacefully to God in the comforting arms of his wife Dee Dee and son Donnie at their home along with the rest of his family on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, after a 6 year battle with cancer.
He was born on July 27, 1952, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Joseph Herman and Elizabeth Catherine Mortemeyer Mehmert.
Ronnie was a member of the first graduating class of Blair Oaks High School in 1970 and attended Lincoln University.
He was united in marriage on September 5, 1981, in Jefferson City, to Mary Melodye Dee Dee Wildhaber who survives at the home.
Ronnie served with the United States Army Reserves in the 1970s.
Ronnie had worked for Capital City Chrysler as the business manager, Missouri Farm Bureau in sales, and since 2006 was co-owner of The Mehmert Group Realtors. Ron had also worked part-time with the State Emergency Management Agency since 2011.
He was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693, American Legion Roscoe Enloe Post 5, Missouri State Association of Realtors, Jefferson City Area Board of Realtors, and was a certified judge with the Kansas City Barbeque Society.
Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Always had a dry sense of humor and hardly met a stranger. He was devoted to his wife, Dee Dee, and son, Donnie. Adored his grandsons and loved his daughter-in-law, Ami, as his own daughter. Ronnie enjoyed the giggles and even the cries of any baby or child.
Ronnie enjoyed playing golf with his brothers and friends, barbequing, cooking, recipe books, and always testing something new to cook. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed a cold beer.
Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his wife, camping, small road trips, reading, talking, hiking, judging barbecue contests, riding bikes on the Katy Trail, and spending time at the cabin on the Gasconade Rive.
Ronnies greatest joy was being a father and grandfather. His son, Donnie, could not have had a more dedicated and loving father.
Other survivors include: one son, Donald Donnie (Ami) Mehmert, Jefferson City; three grandsons, Riley Kusgen, Blaze Mehmert, Roman Mehmert; and eight siblings, Carol Davidson, Jefferson City; Mary Price, Washington, Mo; Larry (Janet) Mehmert, Fulton; Doris (Bill) Kincaid, Richland; David (Kay) Mehmert, Centertown; Tom (Debbie) Mehmert, Holts Summit; Bob (Rose) Mehmert, Jefferson City; and Bill (Connie) Mehmert, Centertown.
