Ruby Lee Lucas, 89, of Jefferson City passed away Monday, December 14, 2015, at Adams Street Place. She was born August 8, 1926, in Quincy, Florida, the daughter of the late Arthur and Ida Bell (Gibson) Dickens. Ruby was united in marriage in 1961, to Joe Lucas. Ruby worked as the head of housekeeping for North East Community Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Survivors include: four children, Frank (Brenda) Grover, Cleveland Heights, Ohio; Dorothy Winters, Chicago, IL; Eddie (Kathy) Clark, Jefferson City; Lonnie Lucas, Columbia, MO; many grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Witherspoon, Delray Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Samuel Lucas; one brother, Eugene Dickens; two sisters, Addie Mae Clark and Willie Bell Olison; and a son-in-law, Ed Winters. Visitation will be 12 Noon till 2 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2015, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2015, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev.
