Shawn Paul Crowe, 40, of Jefferson City, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born on February 15, 1974, in Jefferson City to Lisa Ann Stickley. Shawn was a 1993 graduate of Jefferson City High School. He was united in marriage on September 21, 2012, in Jefferson City to Anne Marie Allee who survives at the home. Shawn worked in maintenance for Capital Property Management and previously for Capital Plaza Hotel. Shawn was a devoted husband, step-father, and friend. He was affectionately known as "Papa Shawn" to his grandchildren. He loved to play disc golf and was a member of the Jefferson City Disc Golf Club. He also loved to go crappie fishing. Shawn was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals. In addition to his wife, Anne, he is survived by his father who raised him, Joseph Leon Crowe (his wife, Margie Ann Crowe), Eugene; three step-children, Chelsea Allee, Andrew Allee, Carter Allee, all of Jefferson City; two step-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Erick; two siblings, Jamie Crowe, Columbia; Christy Booth, St. Louis; four step-siblings, Derek Volkart, Ashland, Ore.; Jason Volkart, Jefferson City; Mitchell Volkart, Jefferson City; Stevie Graham, Indiana; his father and mother-in-law, Bob and Nancy Gammon, Jefferson City; and three brothers-in-law, Todd Weddle, Virginia; Eric Weddle, Jefferson City; and Mark Weddle, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Graham; and a step-sister, Jessi Graham. Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at Concord Baptist Church with the Dr. Monte Shinkle officiating. Burial will be in Longview Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Concord Baptist Church. Memorials are suggested to the Jefferson City Disc Golf Club or to the family of Shawn Crowe. You never really heard him complain much about anything, he had such a positive outlook and attitude about him. The world and the local disc golf community will be a little darker without him around.

On be half of my brother Nathan Deupree and my mom Rexanne Mckke and sister Chreistina Tucker and my self Cathrine Logsdon I would like to say my condolenses he was an awesome person and friendly person I remember when my brother and him drove me and my date to prom and picked us up he will be truly missed my brother and shawn was always hanging out along with the rest of his friends I am sorry for your loss and you and your family are in our prayers

Shawn was a great guy and I’m so glad that you were blessed with 10 great years with him even though I wish you had at least 10 more. Treasure your memories because no one can ever take those from you. Please know that every time I hear the song “Drink a Beer” by Luke Bryan I think of the 2 of you fondly…Love you!!!
