Shirley Sue (Bowman) Hagenhoff, 77 years old, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully at Capital Region Medical Center on Saturday, January 24th, 2026.

Born August 29, 1948, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Finis (Hiney) Bowman and Dorthy (Richardson) Bowman.

Shirley was a graduate of Jefferson City High School in 1966.

She was united in marriage on November 21st, 1970, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Jefferson City to Charles W. Hagenhoff who survives at the home.

After graduating from High School, Shirley enrolled in the Wallace Doty Cosmetology School to become a hairdresser, where she worked at the Palace Beauty Shop for over 40 years.

She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph and was a lifetime member of the ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post 1003.  Shirley loved playing bingo, playing volleyball at St. Joseph, quilting, embroidering, going to the Isle of Capri, and taking photos of her grandchildren.  She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the KC. Chiefs. She also enjoyed B.B.Q’s, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved big family dinners.

Survivors include her husband, Charles W. Hagenhoff; her children, Brian (Melody) Hagenhoff, California, MO; Steven Hagenhoff, Jefferson City; four grandchildren, Nicole, Dallas, Micayla and Dakota (Delaney); 8 great-grandchildren with one on-the-way; and two brothers, Don (Tami) Bowman, Florida; and Dean Bowman, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City.  A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. the Deacon John Schwartze officiating.  Burial will be held at a late date in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Cathedral School.
