Four things I know about Slater: He loved God. He loved God’s Word, He loved Bonney, He loved prisoners. Chaplain Franklin Blodgett
To: Mrs. Bonney Moseley, Stephen and all of Mr. Moseley’s Children, Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren & all other Family We thank the Lord that our family had the great privilege of knowing Mr. Slater Moseley. He was used to make such a great difference in the lives of our family and others for the Lord. In years past, our older children were encouraged by him and he provided ways to help them serve the Lord. He was used to help our younger children be taught to see that God answers prayer and that even when suffering, God can be magnified! When Mr. Moseley spoke, God spoke through him and you didn’t forget what was said. Although he served in the prisons, the Lord used this man’s life in his last year of great trials of affliction with his health, to greatly impact ours and help us through our very own trials. He wasn’t a quitter. He endured hardness as a good soldier. I know that you all are so honored as well as we are, to have had this man to be in your lives. I know that you all are also so honored, as we are too, at the great care that he received from Mrs. Bonney and Stephen in these last afflictions. He truly loved you all and he truly loved his God….and it truly showed! May the God of all comfort give the comfort that only He can in this great time of grief. Mr. Moseley truly is someone who will be greatly missed, but he has now made it to his desired haven….Heaven….rejoicing in what the Lord has promised to be true….”For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” May the Lord be your strength in the days ahead. We are praying for you all and weeping with you! Our verse for Mr. Moseley “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8 All our love in Christ, The Fowler Family
