Tchelinda Renee Sayles, 55, of Jefferson City passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born October 6, 1970 in Killeen, Texas to Benjamin Sayles and Rosie (Jeffery) Sayles Williams.  After receiving her high school diploma, Tchelinda attended Metro Business College.  Those who knew Tchelinda, could always depend on hearing her warm, uplifting words of comfort.  She had a kind heart and would help anyone in need.  Even though Tchelinda was a strong woman, she had a soft spot for her grandbabies.

Survivors include her father; Benjamin Sayles, mother; Rosie Williams, five sons; Sergio Sayles, Gerald (Melaine) Williams, Amadeo Williams, Dayante Moden and Keshawn Sayles, seventeen grandchildren; three siblings, Christina Sayles, Benjamin Sayles Jr., and Michael Sayles.  Tchelinda was preceded in death by her son, Raheem Sayles and maternal and paternal grandparents.

A celebration of Tchelinda’s life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Second Baptist Church, 501 Monroe St., Jefferson City with Rev. W.T. Edmonson officiating.
