Thomas "Tom" Erwin Dalton, 90, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Bishop Spencer Place in Kansas City, Missouri. Even though he resided there for just a short time, he became quite popular among the residents and staff.

Tom was a 1941 graduate of Northeast High School, Kansas City, Mo. He attended the University of Kansas before joining the United States Marines. He was united in marriage on February 11, 1955, in Kansas City, Mo., to Nancy Isabel Gage who preceded him in death on August 8, 2011.
Tom was owner and operator of Missouri Builders Service, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph; a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1054; and a past member of Meadow Lake Country Club. He enjoyed golf, an occasional game of poker, and was very well traveled. He was a generous man and contributed to many organizations. Always the life of the party, he never knew a stanger. To AnneMarie and Ellen, I think fondly of your father and was sad to see his passing. In the short time he was at St Mary’s he sure made an impression on my heart. I know this time will be hard and I will be thinking of you all. God bless your family.

To Annemarie, Ellen, and Colleen,
Barb and I would like to extend our condolences to you and your families. We only became neighbors to your Dad about two years ago, but came to appreciate him as a very nice man. He reminded me a lot of my own Dad who passed away last October. We will really miss having him as our neighbor and if we can be of assistance in any way, don’t hesitate to ask. Our prayers go out to all of you.
