Vera Lee Eveler, 94, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016, at The Mary Culver Home in Kirkwood, Missouri.
She was born December 12, 1921, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Verna (Prenger) Swillum.
She was a graduate of St. Peter High School.
Vera was united in marriage to John "Jack" Eveler on April 8, 1942, in San Luis Obispo, California. Jack preceded her in death on October 25, 2001.
She was employed by the Missouri State Purchasing Department and the Missouri State Legislature. Her lifetime career was spent as a Real Estate Agent. In 1982, Vera along with six other women started the House of Real Estate, Inc., in Jefferson City.
She was a member of the National and Local Board of Realtors and recognized for her performance as a dedicated Realtor.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Ladies Sodality, and the Daughters of Isabella.
Vera is survived by her children, Jay (Maureen) Eveler, St. Louis; Margie (Thomas) Bommarito, St. Louis; Larry (Judy) Eveler, Venice, Florida; Ann (Robert) Schoenen, Overland Park, Kansas; Christopher (Lori) Eveler, Lenexa, Kansas; Elizabeth Eveler, Louisburg, Kansas; Joseph (Brandy) Eveler, Lee's Summit; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack in 2001; an infant son Michael in 1954; and a sister Geraldine Engardio in 1999.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Cesar Anicama officiating.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to The Mary Culver Home, 221 West Washington Avenue, Kirkwood, MO 63122, a privately funded long term care facility, where Vera resided for the last 11 months of her life.

So sorry for your loss. Worked with Vera right after her dad sold his company. She was a wonderful lady. I have often wondered what happened to her. What a sweetheart.
