Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. The time I spent with my dad was the joy of my life. I’ll never forget those times we spent together, playing golf, building my cabin, chopping firewood, celebrating family moments.

  2. Daddy was one of a kind. He did so many things for me that few men are capable of. He designed my home where my children grew up. Electrical, plumbing, everything. I just told him what I wanted, and he did it. He helped remodel that home years later, taking out carpets and installing hardwood floors and oak stairs that he shaped and finished from raw wood. He helped rebuild my deck. He was a handyman for everyday tasks also – maintenance, repair, building furniture. I still have pieces in my home that daddy built. I remember a 10:00 pm call to come fix a leak in my water heater. He never hesitated, ever. Always there when I needed him. But best of all, my dad had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved a good joke or story, and he could tell a joke like no other, enjoying his own jokes as much as we did. At times, he’d get so tickled telling a joke he could barely get it out. And we all laughed right with him. I know he’s in heaven now sharing jokes with his family, having a blast. They always did when they were together. Such memories! He loved his family and loved being around them. He never missed an important occasion for his children, grandchildren or great grandchildren. He was the best. I will miss him every day for as long as I live. Love you daddy!

  7. Dear Tom & Family: I’m sorry for your loss. I have many good, clear memories of your dad and your family–I remember the replica in your home of the beautiful boat mentioned in his obituary, your dad’s hometown of New Orleans, our common ties with classmate Darlene Wisch, you, and me to DeLong’s where our fathers worked thru our years at I.C. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. With sympathy, Greg DeLong

  8. Our hearts share in your sorrow. Bill lives on in our hearts; as we knew him: Marge’s loving husband, a most loving and proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather to our dear sister-in-law, nieces and nephews and our special friend. We rejoice with the angels as they welcome Bill into Paradise.
