Zachary Thomas Edge, 30, of Jefferson City passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017. He was born March 17, 1987, in Jefferson City, the son of Thomas Hugh Edge and Nicole Marie (Mickes) Baldwin. He received his bachelor degree from Lincoln University in Business, Marketing, and Sales. While in college, Zach earned among many others the Missouri Collegiate DECA State Participant Award. Zach owned and operated Cutting Edge Exteriors, LLC and also worked for UPS during college. Zach was a true outdoorsman. He loved showing cars, golfing, fishing, running in 5Ks with his dad, working with his dad and grandpas in their workshops, camping, and his dogs, Harley and Laya. His greatest love was his Jefferson City family and his Joplin family. Survivors include his father, Thomas Edge, Joplin; his mother, Nicole (Jack) Baldwin, Holt Summit; his paternal grandpa, Robert Edge, Sr., Galena, KS; his maternal grandma, Darlene Mickes, Jefferson City; one sister, Brittany Wilbers, Holts Summit; a nephew, Mason Wilkes; his godfather, Chris Cole; and a child he treated like a daughter, Quinn Elliott and her mother, Tina Calvird, High Point. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmothers, Mary Edge Evans and, Loryne P. Weller, both of Joplin; and his maternal grandfather, Joseph A. Mickes, of Jefferson City. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 28th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29th, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki officiating. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date in Joplin. Plans will be announced at a later time on Facebook and in the Joplin Globe.
