ZITA MARGARET HOLTERMAN

October 16, 1930 ~ February 14, 2012
She was born on October 16, 1930, in Rich Fountain, Mo., the daughter of the late Joseph and Christine M. Bauer Eisterhold.
A graduate of Freeburg High School, she was married on May 19, 1954, in Rich Fountain, Mo., to Joseph Ferdinand Holterman with whom she shared fifty-seven wonderful years. Mr. Holterman survives at the home.
A devoted homemaker and mother of ten children, she was employed in earlier years as the Pay Clerk for the former International Shoe Factory.
Mrs. Holterman was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, Mo.; St. Anns Ladies Sodality; St. Joseph Quilting Club; Friendship Club; and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Her greatest love was her family. She also enjoyed crocheting, canning, Farmers Market, flowers, traveling, quilting, and was especially fond of dancing to German music.
Other survivors include nine children, Pat Reinkemeyer, Jefferson City; Gary (Debbie) Holterman, Kansas City, Mo.; Gerilynn (Fred) Gaines, Taos, Mo.; Paul (Karen) Holterman, Taos, Mo.; Kathy (John) Branson, Westphalia, Mo.; Doris (Steve) Voss, Linn, Mo.; Mark (Stacy) Holterman, Jefferson City; Karen (Terry) Mebruer, Rich Fountain, Mo.; and Kristie (Andy) Haller, Rich Fountain, Mo.; twenty-six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Florentine (Norbert) Dill, Rich Fountain, Mo.
She was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Holterman; one sister, Corona Wieberg; one brother, Merwin Eisterhold; and a son-in-law, Alan Reinkemeyer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark A. Smith officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Westphalia.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, February 17th, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church, POB 116, Westphalia, MO 65085.

When we were at Grandma Eisterhold’s, her and mom would sit on the porch and watch all the kids play in the yard. Thank you for so many wonderful memories Aunt Zita. Zita was my chemo buddy. We met at the chemo room and she was just a delight. I have one of the breast cancer scarves that she crocheted. My condolences on the loss of this dear sweet lady.
Zita was one of a kind! She was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and gone much too soon. She and her family are in our prayers.
