Agathon Henry Tony Rehagen, 93, of Westphalia, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, at Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia. He was born on Nov. 14, 1912 in Westphalia, the son of Bernard John and Mary Schulte Rehagen. He was married on Oct. 1, 1946 in Meta, MO to Bernadine Marie Wankum who survives at the home. Mr. Rehagen was employed with E&J Garage, Westphalia; was a bus driver for the Westphalia school system; worked with the Osage County Road Department for six years; served as Associate Judge of Osage County for four years and as Presiding Judge for twelve years; and raised poultry for thirty years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Rehagen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia; Westphalia American Legion Post 544; last surviving charter member of Westphalia Lions Club; and life member of Westphalia Knights of Columbus Council 1171. Other survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Richard Loaiza, Holts Summit; four sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Cathy Rehagen, Charlotte, NC; Jerry and Janet Rehagen, Jefferson City; Kenny and Theresa Rehagen, Westphalia; and Andrew and Wanda Rehagen, Westphalia; seventeen grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; eight great-grandchildren; and one step-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence H. Rehagen; an infant granddaughter, Sara Lynn Loaiza; two brothers, Henry Rehagen and Clem Rehagen; and one sister, Loretta Becker. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, with the Rev. Philip M. Kane officiating. Burial with military honors will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Westphalia. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10th, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic School, POB 205, Westphalia, MO 65085-0205.
