Agnes Catherine ‘Nippy” Eynard, 87, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born October 13, 1934, in Frankenstein, Missouri, the daughter of Rudolph Gustave and Mary Helen (Schmid) Stiefermann.

Nippy was a 1952 graduate of Fatima High School.

On May 12, 1956, at St. Peter Catholic Church, she was married to James Edward Eynard, who survives at the home.

Retiring on March 1, 1995, Nippy worked as a supervisor at the Missouri Division of Employment Security for twenty-four years. Prior to working for the State she was a housewife-homemaker. Nippy’s heart was always at home, caring for her family, especially her children. She took great pride in making her home a great place for her family.

Nippy’s favorite times were with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed any invitation to eat out.

She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; St. Peter Ladies Sodality; and the Missouri State Employees Retirement Association.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Eynard, Jefferson City; three children, Darrell (Patti) Eynard, Jefferson City; Eric (Loree) Eynard, Russellville; Gail (Keith) Jeffries, New Bloomfield; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren with one on the way; and five siblings, Evelyn Maxey, Jefferson City; Wilma Trachsel, Chamois; Clarence (Shirley) Stieferman, Jefferson City; Mary Ann (William) Kramer, Jefferson City; and Wanda Dyke, Freeburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dale Eynard; and three brothers-in-law, Charles Maxey, Edwin Trachsel, and James Dyke.

Visitation will be 9-10:30 a.m., Friday, October 29, 2021, at St. Peter Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Jeremy Secrist officiating.
Entombment will be in Resurrection Catholic Mausoleum.

Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church.

  1. Never met a more Welcoming ,Loving family than the Eynards.I can still here Nippy saying “Chick You behave tonight” as We’d pull out the driveway. So sorry for Your Loss. She was one of a kind. My Mother says she sends her prayers.
