Albert Wolken

May 22, 1934 ~ March 24, 2023
Albert H. Wolken, 88, of Jefferson City passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Capitol Region Medical Center.
He was born May 22, 1934 in Osage Bend to the late Otto and Rose (Prenger) Wolken. Albert married Odilia “Deal” Wilbers on June 14, 1958 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville. This year they would have celebrated 65 years of marriage. Albert grew up on the family farm and continued farming his entire life. Whether it was sawing lumber, baling hay or combining, Albert was always there to help his neighbors. He was a “Jack of All Trades” and could fix just about anything. He loved working on tractors, especially Allis-Chalmers but would occasionally work on the “green ones”. On his birthday in 1984, Albert became a mechanic for Midwest Implement until his retirement. He and Deal enjoyed going to church picnics, Fall suppers and fish frys. In his younger years, Albert loved going to tractor pulls with his son Floyd. He relaxed playing Pinocle with his friends, telling stories about his adventures with tractors and farming and listening to old time country music.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Deal, his son, Floyd (Lisa) Wolken of Jefferson City, sisters-in-law, Mildred Massman and Carol (Larry) Buechter, brother-in-law, Walter “Toby” (Nancy) Wilbers, many nieces, nephews and extended family. Albert was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Schulte, brother-in-law, Walter Massman and sister-in-law and husband, Virginia and Jack Weaver.
