Alfred Charles Brown, 70, of Eugene, MO, died Friday, June 17, 2005 at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on June 15, 1935 in Finsbury, England, the son of John Brown and Charlotte Elizabeth Keene. He was married on Aug. 1, 1997, in Jefferson City to Shelby Jean Gibler Loethen who survives at the home. Mr. Brown spent his life serving in the United States Army. He was highly decorated, serving in the Vietnam War where he received the Purple Heart. Other survivors include three step-sons and two step-daughters-in-law, Richard and Shannon Loethen, Coldwater, Michigan, Terry and Cheryll Loethen, Jefferson City, and Jeffrey Loethen, Jefferson City; six step-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Norma Brown, Rochester, New York; and one sister, Rose Brown, Rochester, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be in Eugene Cemetery. Visitation will be 11-1 p.m. Tuesday, June 21st , at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
