Alice Helen Lammers

Alice Helen Lammers, 97, of Jefferson City, died Sunday December 1, 2019, at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born January 19, 1922 in Taos, the daughter of Frank and Lidvina (Rackers) Henke.
Alice worked as a silk finisher at Jefferson Cleaners for thirty-one years, retiring in January 1986. In earlier years, she worked at the International Shoe Company.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
Alice enjoyed doing embroidery and going to the boat in Boonville. She loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Franklin Lammers, Marshall; a daughter, Judy Downing, Jefferson City; two grandchildren, Tina (Glen) Campbell and Troy Downing; four great-grandchildren, Evan Hansen, Tanner Downing, Blaine Downing, and Austin Downing; and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Henke, Westphalia.
She was preceded in death by parents, and siblings, Bernard Henke, Fred Henke, Mary Ann Lammers, Evelyn Higgins, and Alberta (Morton) Ratliff.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2019, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Jeremy Secrist officiating.
Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2019, at St. Peter Catholic Church.
Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s or St. Peter Catholic Church.

She was such a sweet lady. Everytime we’d go visit mom at the nursing home we’d always talk to her if we saw her. Prayers to the whole family.
