She was born in Jefferson City to John H. Rodeman and Clara R. Oncken Rodeman. She was married in 1943 in Jefferson City to James Ottway Hunter who died in 1978. She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Hunter Wisely, Birmingham, Alabama; two sons, Greg J. Hunter, Dallas, Texas; and Robert J. Hunter, Atlanta, Georgia; and five grandchildren. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Brimingham, Alabama. A homemaker, she was a hospital volunteer in the Birmingham area and also served as a pianist for several retirement homes.
