Ann Marie Galloway, 54, of Holts Summit, went to join the other angels Thursday, February 21, 2008, at Capital Region Medical Center after several years of courageously battling numerous illnesses and sufferings. She was born on February 28, 1953, in Darby, PA, the daughter of John Thomas and Margaret Mary OBrien Kane. She united in marriage on February 7, 1981 in Jefferson City to Bill Galloway who still survives at the home. Despite her physical disabilities, Ann continued to be actively involved in community affairs. She was a long time member of Congregations United for Racial Equity, and past member of the Jefferson City Multi-Cultural Forum. Ann was instrumental in the successful reinstatement of the Jefferson City Human Relations Commission. Amoung her greatest passions was traveling to new and different places and cruising the oceans. Above all else, she loved spending every minute with her husband Bill. Ann always saw the good in people and relished the uniqueness of every individual she met and whose life she touched. Other survivors include: two daughters, Fawn Galloway, Holts Summit; Autumn Galloway, St. Louis; three grandchildren, Tristan Galloway; MiAsja Galloway; Elijah Galloway; two sisters, Romelle Thompson, Woodlyn, PA; Karen Turner, Philadelphia, PA; and a life long friend, Jennifer Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her foster parents, Norman and Ethel Hardy; and a brother, Carmen Thompson. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. John Bennett. Burial will be in Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association.
