Anna Darlene Schubert
November 8, 1940 ~ December 30, 2019
She was born November 8, 1940, in Russellville, the daughter of the late Walter John and Alma Magdalene (Lehman) Theroff.
Darlene was a graduate of Russellville High School in May 1958 and attended the Capital Business College for two years.
She was united in marriage on August 25, 1967, in Jefferson City, to David James Schubert who preceded her in death on August 28, 1998.
Darlene worked for over 40 years with the State of Missouri at the Department of Health and the Department of Social Services.
She was a member of Russellville United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School in her early years, and volunteered with the Card Missionary.
She enjoyed watching WWE wrestling and RFD-TV, eating “Porter Popcorn” at night, Sunday afternoon car rides, and collecting over 600 snowman figurines. Her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Mona (Travis) Porter, Russellville; two grandchildren, James “Jamie” Steven Porter (Megan Wilson) of Omaha, NE and Anna Louise Porter Russellville; and several cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David James Schubert; her brother, Norman Lee Theroff; and her sister, Norma Jean Theroff.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2020, at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Homes in Russellville.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, at Russellville United Methodist Church with Rev. Clayton Blodgett officiating.
Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Russellville United Methodist Church, Enloe Cemetery, or to Hospice Compassus.
Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Homes in Russellville is in charge of the arrangements.
